This is an amazing effort by these paddlers, with the assistance of their coaches, parents and support networks for them to make National Team Selection. Some of these athletes are training 25 - 30 hours per week and juggling commitments of school, work, sleep, rest, family time, etc. Well done to you all!
West Lakes Canoe Club will support each of these WLCC athletes who tour overseas with Australian National Teams, on the condition that they remain loyal members of the West Lakes Canoe Club for at least the next three years, so that they can give something back to the club. (There is a binding agreement that is signed for this) |
